Often in times of darkness I look to the Moon and all of her phases for inspiration. The Shadow Moon object is a reminder that we are still whole in our various phases of life. It's a reminder of life's delicate balance, that there is no light without darkness.
Wheel thrown and hand shaped from mid-fire stoneware the shadow moon objects follow the same path but may vary slightly in their final form. The vase is hand dipped in white glaze to represent the light, while the dark side is raw textured clay to look like the dark side of our moon.
