From the Garden: Backyard Blooms

From the Garden: Backyard Blooms

There’s something deeply grounding about starting the day in the garden—barefoot in the dew, the air still quiet, blooms just beginning to unfurl. For me, the garden has always been more than a place to grow flowers. It’s a source of inspiration, a rhythm, a refuge. It reminds me to slow down, to notice the little things, and to stay connected to the beauty of the natural world.

Over the years, my garden has become woven into every part of my creative life. The colors, textures, and fleeting moments in bloom often find their way into my ceramics, photography, and even the scents I work with in the studio. But lately, the garden has been offering more than just inspiration—it’s been overflowing with abundance.

Rather than let that beauty go to waste, I wanted a way to share it more directly. That’s why I recently started offering Backyard Blooms, seasonal bouquets grown right here in my garden and arranged with care. It’s a way to share a piece of the magic that fills this space with others, whether near or far.

By offering these flowers locally and in small batches, I’m able to:

  • Close the loop in my creative and growing process
  • Minimize waste and use what’s naturally flourishing
  • Keep the supply chain short, transparent, and rooted in care
  • And most importantly, spread the simple joy that fresh flowers can bring

Each bouquet is made from what’s blooming at that moment—sometimes a wild tangle of cosmos and herbs, other times a delicate arrangement of dahlias and garden roses. No two are ever quite the same, and that’s part of the charm.

I hope they bring a little calm, color, and connection into your world, the same way they do in mine. Thank you for being here, and for supporting this season of growth and sharing.

You can purchase your own backyard bouquet here in my online shop.
