How do I book a session?
Just use the contact form, send me an e-mail, or call me!
Does your session fee include prints/images?
All of my sessions include edited full-resolution images. The quantity depends on which session you book. I also offer Prints, Albums, and other keepsake items. You may place an additional order after you receive your password to login to your proofing gallery.
Can siblings be in the newborn photos?
I usually begin with family and sibling photos so that dad or a grandparent can take the sibling out to do something fun or into another part of the house. This way it is less stressful for the newborn during our session.
Can we have a family photo with our newborn session?
I usually do semi-posed family photos at the start of the session since I ask that you keep your house quite warm and I want everyone to look their best. I also do candid’s throughout.
What should I wear?
After you have reserved your session date, you will receive an information packet to look over. This packet will contain tips on clothing (including my favorite places to shop), a detailed price list, and instructions on how to prepare for your session, policies and a map to our session location. If you’d like to browse some of my favorite wardrobe choices, you can click here to view them on my blog.
Where do you normally photograph people?
Most of my sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, or for older children at a favorite outdoor space. We will decide what is best for your family during the planning process.
What if I live outside of the San Jose area?
Not a problem! I am available for select sessions out of state and abroad. Please inquire for details.
When should I book my maternity session?
Maternity photos are usually most flattering when taken around the 32-36 week mark in your pregnancy but I have also had some of my favorite maternity photos result from glowing full-term mamas.
When should I book my newborn or Day One session?
Newborns photograph best when they are younger than 10 days old. Babies grow so quickly and in order to capture that “brand new” look, please call and book your newborn session before your baby is born. I can not always guarantee availability unless your session is booked ahead of time.
Do you have a payment plan?
I offer a payment plan for my First Year package. It requires a $700 deposit to book your first session, then a $500 payment for each of the remaining sessions through 18 months of age.
How long will it be before I see the images?
Your images will be available to view around 5 business days after your session. Prints will be ready in 1-2 weeks after you place your order. Rush delivery is available on most items. Special order items may take 3 to 6 weeks to receive.
How many proofs will I get to see?
While every session is different, typically you will have an average of 40 unique proofs to place your order from. All images are fully edited before the proofing process begins.
Can I purchase the digital files?
My sessions include all edited digital files. Files are sized at 11×14″ and 300DPI.
Can I have the unedited or raw image files?
To maintain professional consistency, I never release unedited files.
Can I buy the copyrights to the files?
As the artist, I will always hold the copyright to my work. I do grant permission to print or reproduce for personal use only. You may not sell my images, whole or in part, or use them for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
