Fine Print:
Session fee due at the time of booking and is non-refundable. In case of inclement weather we will move indoors to my Santa Clara Studio. Includes up to 6 members of immediate family (Mom, Dad, Kids.) There is a $20 fee to re-open online proofing gallery. Digital files are 8×12″ and 300DPI (print quality). Bookings are only reserved after they have been paid for.

2011 Cute Kids Contest – Cupertino Newborn, Baby, & Child Photographer

How to Enter:
- E-mail your favorite snapshot of your child (one per child) to contest@dollstudios.com (No professional photos – you must own the copyrights! It’s okay if they are by Jessica Doll/Doll Studios.) by September 10, 2011 at 11:59PM PST. Please include their name and current age.
- Entries will be posted on Facebook in their own gallery. Once posted you can ask your family, friends, and whoever else you can get to “like” your image (must be a fan of/like Doll Studios to vote). The image with the most “likes” at the end of the 2 week voting period wins the grand prize!
Fine Print: Winner must be willing to sign photographic release allowing me to use their photographs in promotional material. Since photos will be used for promotional materials, winner must also be willing to work with me on styling for the shoots to achieve the best images possible. Winner should reside in San Jose, CA area or be willing & able to travel there for shoots. I doubt it needs to be said, but the winning child/family should have a child or be pregnant and due by September 30, 2011. Anyone caught cheating or attempting to cheat will be tared, feathered, and burned at the stake (see also: disqualified) and prize will be awarded to next highest “liked” child. Deadline to enter is September 10, 2011 11:59PM PST, No if’s, and’s, or but’s allowed.
Grand Prize Winner will Receive:
- 3 Sessions with Doll Studios; 2 On-Location and 1 In-Studio. Includes child only. ($600 Value)
- “Credits” for the following items: 3 16×20″ Prints, 6 8×10″ Prints, and 3 high-res photo downloads that include all of the images from each session. ($1260 Value!)

Valentines Mini Sessions!

For $90 (+tax) you will receive:
- 30 Minutes of Studio Time
- 24 Wallet Sized Photo Valentines in pink or teal that include your favorite photo with your child(s) name printed on them
- Plus an 8×10 print of your favorite photo (same as valentines photo).
Sessions are limited to children only (up to 3 siblings). Sessions will be booked on a first come first serve basis and payment is due at the time of booking. Session information will be sent via e-mail shortly after your session is purchased. Sessions are non-refundable. Top 5 photos will be edited and uploaded to online ordering gallery by the end of the day on February 6th, 2011. Your favorite photo and valentine color choice is due no later than 4PM PST on February 7th and Valentines/Photos submitted by then will be ready for pick up on February 11th. Any orders submitted after will not arrive prior to Valentine’s Day.

Photographic Milestones – San Jose Baby Photographer
August 27th, 2010 by Jessica Doll | No Comments | Filed in Baby, Children, Doll Studios, Maternity, Newborn, ToddlerFor new parents, old parents, and any parent alike, deciding when to take your photos is not always the easiest choice to make. How often should you have photos done? Do you follow time lines, or milestones? As a photographer I’ve seen quite a few different approaches but I really tend to favor following milestones. It makes capturing the essence of that age even more special.
Maternity – Maternity photos are typically done anywhere between 30-33 weeks along in your pregnancy. You should be “big” enough so that you have a nice round belly, but not too big to be able to move around comfortably.
Newborn – Newborns photograph best when they are younger than 10 days old. Babies grow so quickly and in order to capture that “brand new” look, please call and book your newborn session before your baby is born.
3/4 mos – This milestone is best done after baby has had lots of tummy time and can hold their head up proudly while on their tummy. Now is also a great time for family photos with baby.
6/7 mos – The crawling / sitting up stages. Babies are mobile and curious, but not too speedy (yet!).
1 year – One of the more obvious times to snap some wonderful photos of your child. There are the oh-so-cute walking photos, and smash cake photos are always fun too!
Any time after this I’d recommend having photos done at least yearly, or whenever the urge arises. As a parent, I am constantly snapping photos of my little one because he’s always growing and changing and I’d never want to miss capturing a special memory for us to look back on.
